Why The Garden? The garden chose me actually. I was booked for 2 years for every event from mr gay Iowa, miss gay iowa, pride. It became i was here in des moines every other weekend. Until finally I was asked to move to iowa to be part of the show cast. 8 years later I am still part of an amazing show working with a great staff and team. It was a great decision I made 8 years ago and I look forward to what the future holds.
Your Legacy: I started back up dancing for queens in Minneapolis since 2002. I discovered males can perform as leads so I started performing in 2006. I have been able to travel all over the United States performing and changing the norm for drag. I love being on stage and welcoming people into my world. I started competing nationally capturing the national title of Mr. Gay United States 2014. I have also held other state and bar titles. I love to help and mentor other up and coming entertainers as well. Support is key in our community and i will continue to uplift our community.

Why The Garden? I love The Garden Nightclub. It's where I experience my first drag show ever during teen nights, I was maybe 15-16 years old.
Your Legacy: Part of the House of Love, a sisterhood of entertainers bringing high energy and choreographed numbers to pride festivals and clubs across Iowa. Former Garden Cast Member, Miss Teen Garden, and the current Miss Garden Nightclub. I am proud to be a part of the Garden Family and the Spotlight Showcast as we continue this great legacy.

Why The Garden? Garden welcomed me with open arms upon the closing of Le Boi and has been a great family to be a part of.
Your Legacy: I started drag the day I moved to Des Moines. Tyona painted me and put me in her drag that night to live my Britney fantasy. I never expected to stick with drag, but have always loved performing arts. It clearly really stuck with me. It took a couple years after stepping into the scene as a cocktail mixer Ginger Elle, but I finally become a Diamond. I was a guest at Studio 13 and they announced me as Ginger Diamond when they were bringing me on for my first number. I've grown a lot as an entertainer over the years. I love seeing the new queens grow and trying to help as they do so. I'm so grateful for the opportunities I've been given over the years when it comes to performing. Here's to more years performing Cher, Britney, Mariah and Christina!!

Why The Garden? welcomed me with open arms and has an environment that allows people to be accepted, creative and themselves.
Your Legacy: In her 7 years doing drag, she has been a top non-finishing finalist, placed top 5 at Miss Gay Iowa, a former Miss Midwest Diva, and a former Miss Illinois USofA Newcomer. Jade chooses to use her art to give back to the community by participating in Ames library all-ages shows and volunteering for fundraising for the youth of the community.

Why The Garden? Like with many others, the garden became my home. It opened its arms and accepted me at a time when no one else would. The garden has always made me feel welcomed and loved.
Your Legacy: The Gardens first ever Miss Teen Garden, was never suppose to be. Having been one of those gay guys who said “ I’ll never do drag”, the first time was suppose to be a fluke! However she loved it! She fell in love with the glitz, the glam, and attitude it took to become an entertainer. 10+ years later after her first show and thanks to drag and the local lgbt community, she was able to TRANSition and find her authentic self.

Why The Garden? The Garden Nightclub was the first club in my home city to welcome me with open arms. Having freshly started drag, I took advice and listened as much as I could from The Garden Cast to continue to grow and develop quickly. When the garden offered me a spot on cast at the beginning on January, just five months into my drag career, I was absolutely honored. 
Your Legacy: Working for Capital City Pride gave me the opportunity to network with local queens that inspired me to start myself. In August 2020, Chanelle took the stage in Iowa City at Studio 13. Since then, being adopted into the Belle Family, running for a local title and placing top 5 overall, traveling around the midwest, and continuing to develop and grow in categories such as, socially, professionally, and performance. I am excited to grow alongside some of Des Moines best.
